The Engagement Model

The Engagement Model is a unique method of observation designed to provide profound insights that enhance educational provision for all pupils. It provides a curriculum for those pupils working below the NC and not engaged in specific study.

By focusing on a pupil-centred approach, this model emphasises students' abilities rather than their disabilities. This shift in perspective ensures that each student is viewed through a lens of potential and capability, fostering an environment where every child can thrive.

One of the core principles of the Engagement Model is its inclusive nature, valuing all sources of knowledge and information about the pupil. This includes input from teachers, school staff, other professionals, as well as parents or carers. By integrating these diverse perspectives, the model ensures a holistic understanding of each student's needs and strengths.
